Group Dynamics

The Group Dynamics trips/programs are run by Liquid Logic. The focus of Liquid Logic is on the understanding and development of group skills for the individual within their specific organizational context. Using the medium of Experiential Learning, in a supportive, comfortable and caring environment, we address the intricacies of group dynamics with tailor made programmes to suite your needs. The use of experiential learning programmes facilitates the individual’s internalisation of the knowledge that they have gained for themselves as opposed to that which is merely presented to them. As enjoyable, fun filled and challenging as the tasks are in each programme, they remain little more than the carriage to highlight specific traits of the groups’ dynamics. The focus remains on the interaction that is taking place during the exercise. Interactive debriefs and discussions are held at varying intervals of the programme to reinforce positive gains and eliminate deconstructive practices.

Group Dynamics is dedicated to advancing knowledge about the nature of groups, the laws of their development and their interrelations with individuals, other groups and larger institutions. With the focus on the internal and external functioning’s of the group and its members it aims to improve overall proficiency.

Experiential Learning focuses on affecting the learner’s cognitive structures, attitudes, values, perceptions and behaviour patterns in a supportive, accepting and caring environment. Hands on activities provide a simulated work scenario in which the individual and group are free to experiment with new attitudes and behaviour patterns that may be monitored and if necessary adjusted within the group context to achieve desired outcomes.

As a Learning Organization we seek to challenge the individual and their group thinking and behavioural systems. Our outcome based activities, from simple raft building to ‘Habitat for Humanity’ housing are carefully planned programs designed to encourage learning and improve, reinforce group synergy within itself and the larger surroundings. With an attitude of nothing ventured nothing gained, adventure and thrill seeking packages have proven to be just as valuable in the learning arena.

Program Outline

An introductory interview is held with the client to establish a brief history of the group and establish the intentions of wanting to run a program. There after a brief questionnaire is made available for the participants in order to establish which aspects of group dynamics need to be addressed and the style and type of activities that are best suited to achieve those ends.

The program is then presented in its entirety with an explanation of what the activities are about and the types of results that can be obtained from them. At the end of the running of a program a comprehensive brief is made available to the group for their own reading.

We recognize that every group is unique in its existence and thus requires a tailor made program to suite the specific requirements and dynamics of the group.
